Track Name: Circadian
Woke up
Fell out of my body
Well i’d rather drift out
I’d rather scatter

The floor fell between me and my ankles
I kept up balanced on a table
felt fucked up but knew what it would come to

Fall out of the sky - day dreamer

Days I never end, without a stone in my shoe
And I tell myself I won’t dissolve
Days like these,
I twist and vanish

Surfaced
There’s not a name for this
Body of water
You could diffuse and vanish

Woke up, missed it when I ran through
Water whiskey missed it when I came to
Felt fucked up but knew what it would come to

So let's end this day like we started it
Drowsy and full of dreams
Let's end this day like we started it
As the sun comes around

And I’ll end this day like I started it
Drowsy and full of dreams

I’ll end this day like I started it
Scattered in search of sleep
Drowsy and full of dreams
Track Name: Watercolor
i read your story today - about how to escape from your body
without leaving your apartment
i read your story today - you didn't leave a name

but you said 'the heart is deceitful above all else'
but we are not made of autonomous creatures
you aren't the sum of your body's decisions
the heart is deceitful

there was a boy - i don't know him
but i feel like i remember everything
and there's a feeling i remember - here and there
i just can't name

but he said 'the heart is deceitful above all else'
but we are not made of autonomous creatures
you aren't the sum of your body's decisions
the heart is deceitful

and i am deceitful above all else
i am an ocean of microbes and bile and salt
i am a brick wall
refusing to change - even as my edges are worn away

it's not somatic - but i can feel it
like i'd breathe too deep and step beyond my skin

and i don't know my name half the time when i wake up
i followed your voice, and it told me
there's a lens behind my eye
and my view is watercolor

i heard your voice on the phone, and suddenly, i stepped out of myself
Track Name: The Collector
All I got is acorns, in my pocket

And I can't think

How they got there

And I watch them fall apart

All I got is crumbles, and I just feel

As they fall away like sand
I feel them fall away

Look up at the sky

Have you ever seen

Such clouds

Can you see them shifting

Are they breathing

If you listen closely you can hear them sigh

With the trees, with the movement of the air

Just like that moment when you realize - everything you hear is alive

Two cups of coffee next morning

And nothing makes sense on this backdrop of jittery fog

There’s only a mile between me and the top of this mountain and me

Just like that moment when you realize - everything you hear is alive

Track Name: Inertia
Dyspneic and worn - travelled for miles
Though rivers are cold now

This world from the sky must look small
From here it fills the spaces

There’s something still - inertia
inhale
And the moment is gone
And all is thunder and ice and crashing waves of air

This world from the sky must look small
From here it fills the spaces
Forgetting how to breathe
Forgetting the world has edges - closer still closer
Pounding in my ears - bounding and breaking
Losing my footing

And at last peace - and in steam, I vanish
Seamlessly the snow - and the sky surround me
Track Name: FMN2AM
It wasn’t that we drove in silence - we drove in time
To thunder and rain

And there’s a song thats playing on the radio
And I get lost
FM into morning

There came a point when the road was a river
The sun scratched the surface
The fields caught on fire
The fields were an ocean

And there’s a song, that’s playing on the radio
And I get lost
FMN2AM

And there’s a voice, singing on the radio
And I get lost, and I get lost, and I get lost
Track Name: Adalane
He woke up in a parking lot
with no idea of who had left him there

She woke up back at home in her apartment
Having dreams of walking through meadows

Adalane, where is your mind

His only thoughts of love were thoughts of alcohol
And cigarette butts, stomped out in the pavement

Her only thoughts of love were
dreams she couldn’t reach
Beauty sprawled before her

Adalane, where is your mind

If love was such a crime, where was the law
When mother watched her husband beat him

If love was such a crime why did she ache to break
The law when no one was looking

They said love was not a crime, but the bruises didn’t feel like kisses - love was not a crime, but the handcuffs wouldn’t hold her hand
love is not a crime, but they shouted at him till he had to hide
O doctor tell them this is not a game, i’m not pretending,
Billy was sleeping while Adalane was the prowl
doctor tell them how my shattered mind has driven me to hell

He woke up in a jail cell
She woke up in a jail cell, as well

Adalane - could have saved him from this?
Adalane - who could blame you for this?
Adalane - where is your mind?
Track Name: Cloudbreak
Give me a pen to write this down, it slips away
Falls between the cracks of my memories
Give me a pen, I’ll drain it out across the page
It falls away

So let me hear from you now and again
So let me know
I am steady though I’m sinking
I am straining to hear you
And I’m uneasy in this phosphorescence
So black out the light

Give me a drink to wash this down, it slips away
I don’t even recognize anyone around me
And the clouds break

Wrap your silence around me

So let me me hear from you now and again
So let me know
I am steady though I’m sinking,
I am straining to hear you
And I’m uneasy in this phosphorescence
So black out the light
Track Name: Apophenia
Walked through town, at the moment when the gardeners
took their lunch breaks
Not a person in this town, gardens ‘less they’re paid for it

Walked through some city while the sun, dragged my shadow
Down to a puddle at my feet
And I lived all summer in a day,
And it rained and it washed some thoughts I thought of
As a whole, into pieces, never quite the same

I tied a string to a photograph, walked forward twenty years
Like I could follow it back
But memories grow, wild as prairie, tangled and unconcerned
With anything but light

Summers draw me out like yarn, pulling thin until it fades
Into spiderweb which grids, and grows stronger
Summers ebb and flow
And my thoughts fall fallow in the haze
Track Name: War Between the Trees
The moss widowed the roots while insects inspected the lines
and they echoed - invasion in the red pines

No sound quite like the birds, matched by wind and waves
and they echoed

A coalition of morels, pregnant in the underground
echoed (and they echoed) - invasion in the red pines

Ochre stained leaves swallowed the ground
your lips whispered, narrowed a bellowed sound
and it echoed, as it echoed
war between the trees
war between us

Oxygen spilt and wasted
Fallen trees as the floor tasted
echoed (and it echoed)

Ochre stained leaves
swallowed the ground
your lips whispered
narrowed and bellowed
and it echoed
as it echoed
